Interior of St Mary's Church, Wiveton

ABOUT ME

I’m Daniel Sandham, a parish priest in North London. During April, May and June 2024 I had a period of study leave (also known as sabbatical) walking between Norfolk’s churches. I walked 33 routes, mostly circular, visiting over 200 churches and ruins of churches. Each walk was a mini-pilgrimage, drawing on the spirituality and heritage of Norfolk's churches, landscapes and people. This blog, and @walkingnorfolkschurches on Instagram, records my experiences of these walks.

Although the sabbatical is now over, I will still be visiting Norfolk and its churches, so hope to continue to blog from time to time. Subscribe below for updates.
